Malvika Sharma, MD, FAAP

Dr. Sharma is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She has been practicing in Montgomery County, Maryland since 1997.

Dr. Sharma completed her medical training and internship from King Georges Medical College.  After completing her Residency in Pediatrics from Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in 1996, she started working at the Gaithersburg office of Kaiser Permanente as a pediatrician.  She worked there from 1997 to 2006.  She was a Physician Team Lead at Kaiser Permanente for last two years.

Prior to starting her practice Dr. Sharma worked at Nighttime Pediatrics in Rockville.

Dr. Sharma enjoys working with children and their families. Her special interests are Behavioral Pediatrics and Child Development.

Dr. Sharma took over the practice from Dr Alan Figelman who retired recently after dedicating a number of years to the welfare of children.  She has hospital privileges at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

Dr. Sharma lives in North Potomac with her husband and two sons. “Raising two of my own has been a learning experience albeit a very rewarding one.”

Alicia Haughney, RN

Alicia has been working in this office for past 8 years.  She is very good with children and is an excellent nurse.
